I received DIG Adegoke Fayoade, who came on a courtesy visit on the order of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Tunji Disu, to Osun State with a clear directive to end political violence, investigate all killings, and ensure that those responsible are arrested and prosecuted.

While I welcome his commitment, I made it clear that peace can only be sustained when justice is served. The recent political killings of innocent Osun citizens must not go unresolved. Those behind these heinous crimes must be identified, arrested, and made to face the full weight of the law.

I reaffirm my confidence in the leadership of the Nigeria Police and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to guarantee a peaceful, free, and fair governorship election in Osun State. Our people deserve impartial policing, protection of lives and property, and an electoral process devoid of violence and intimidation. Together, we must ensure that politics is never allowed to claim innocent lives.

Individuals are now using AMBO branded vehicles to push their own agenda and pass one message: “APC is causing unrest in town.”

We raised the alarm before. APC said it clearly: Akopati is planning to brand vehicles in APC/AMBO name and use it to cause chaos.

And here’s the truth: You will NOT see one single AMBO vehicle in yellow. AMBO is Blue, Red, or Green — the Renewed Hope colors of President Tinubu.

My dear people of Osun State, I am glad to be back home after a brief medical check-up abroad, fully energized to continue our shared mission of delivering good governance to our people. The true essence of politics is service and not self-interest. As leaders, we must be accountable, transparent, and guided by the rule of law at all times. Power should be used to uplift our citizens, not to oppress them.

I have also followed the ongoing developments regarding the unfortunate Akinlalu killings. Let me make it clear again, I will not interfere in the ongoing police investigation. The matter is one of law and order, and the Inspector General of Police has taken charge. We must allow due process to take its course without political interference.

I urge everyone, especially the opposition, to refrain from politicizing a tragic incident that demands justice and compassion. My prayers remain with the families and the entire Akinlalu community. I assure you that justice will be done.

Together, let us stay focused on the real task before us; building a better, safer, and more prosperous Osun State for all.
