FG moves to revamp Eastern seaports after Atiku Abubakar called for the opening up of the Eastern Economic Corridor.
The Tinubu Administration is now adopting ideas from the ADC presidential candidate.
In politics, loyalty is often temporary. Stomach infrastructure can make people do, undo, switch sides and rewrite yesterday’s promises. In the end, it was never really about the people, it was always about stomach infrastructure.
Based on the information available on why the ADC Presidential Campaign Council is lean, and why the likes of National Secretary Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi and some other senior party officials are not listed, I believe the explanation from the party is quite clear.
Our National Chairman, Sen. David Mark, has consistently made it clear that the 2027 campaign will be driven by new ideas and a transformative approach, not the usual traditional campaign model where thousands of people are brought to Abuja, accommodated in hotels and given titles without any meaningful connection to their wards, polling units or grassroots communities.
The ADC is therefore building a campaign structure around clearly defined responsibilities, accountability and measurable results. The current structure has six major operational directorates, covering areas including administration, operations, media and communications, contact and mobilisation, diversity and support groups, and technical and electoral systems.
The emphasis is on taking the campaign closer to the people and strengthening the grassroots, from wards to polling units, rather than simply creating a large bureaucracy in Abuja.
And this is not necessarily the final structure. Additional appointments and personnel are expected to be announced to strengthen the various directorates and ensure that the campaign machinery delivers effectively.
The message is simple, this is not about how many names appear on a list, it is about how effectively the structure can reach Nigerians, mobilise the grassroots and deliver measurable results.
The ADC is preparing for a different kind of campaign in 2027. @atiku/ @ChibuikeAmaechi 2027.
