We are thrilled to announce that the Cliff Railway will re open on Sunday 16th July.

“Testing has gone well this week. Final parts are being delivered on Monday and our insurance assessor is booked for Wednesday. Fingers crossed we can open towards the end of next week. We will update on Wednesday as soon as we have the sign off”.

Final works and testing are being done, staff have been recruited and internal works are finished. Our certifying engineer is booked for final sign off/independent testing. As soon as this is done we will be in a position to open to the public.  We hope to update you very soon

Statement by Lindsay Yelland, Chairman Babbacombe Cliff Railway.“All of us at the railway are devastated by the death of a dearly loved engineer yesterday in a tragic accident unrelated to the operation of the railway. We are fully cooperating with the HSE.
