Just went to DMV to renew my plates. I renewed my daughter’s as well, but her plates were almost double.
I asked why, and the lady said, “because her car is considered fuel efficient.”
I said, “the tags cost more because the car burns less gas?”
She said, “yes. Since other vehicle owners have to pay more for gas, you have to pay more for tags so it’s fair.”
So, the government is trying to get rid of gas cars by 2035 because they’re bad for the environment.
But, I buy a fuel efficient car that’s better for the environment, and I’m penalized for doing so?
More evidence the government does nothing because it’s better for you or the environment. Everything they do is a money & power grab.

The way to know if your salat has been accepted by Allah is to see if sinning has become more difficult for you.
A high quality salat is like a voice inside you that forbids you when you approach sin.
The better the salat, the louder the voice.
You’re the last person on earth who should ever utter the words “human rights”.
You’re a shameless hypocrite with zero self-respect.
I’d ask God to break your back for the suffering you’ve caused, but then I remember you’re already spineless.
Let’s not wish to have what others have at the expense of our faith and God!
Qaroon was very wealthy. We mustn’t be like the people who saw his vast wealth, & wished to have what he had..then witnessed the earth swallow him & all his wealth!
Let’s be aware of this reality, before we fall like them!
Wealth and children are an adornment of the life of the world, but lasting righteous deeds are better with your Lord in reward and better in hope.
Holy Quran (18:46)
Toronto is the most diverse city in the world and we are deeply impacted by violence and devastation abroad.
We must hold firm in our commitments to one another’s humanity, well-being and to justice. Islamophobia, antisemitism and racism have no place here.
When you see a new face at the masjid, go over and say salam. Introduce yourself and tell them, “Welcome home.”
We should always remember that the House of Allah is also the house of people and we have a duty to make people feel at home.
