It's really too bad because we could have built a world where we work a little bit but mostly just hang out and have a good time but instead we got this shithole
Sean Murray says he doesn’t care how much money No Man’s Sky could have made through paid DLC, and the game’s updates will stay free.
Murray says he doesn’t even want to know how much money Hello Games might have made from paid content:
“I never want to see that PowerPoint.”
The team enjoys knowing that every player will experience the new updates:
“Every player that we have is going to experience this.”
Murray also says keeping updates free allows Hello Games to build on previous features without splitting the player base.
“That doesn’t work if you’re fragmenting your audience.”
