Sad day for Ordinals, as it was the go to platform for many art mints❗️
Artists need to get their JSON files from @trygamma asap, and inscribe dedicated Galleries‼️

🔶 Both @nicksainato and @eliherf1 have recently announced that they are no longer part of @trygamma.
It’s very unexpected, they really helped push the whole space forward by onboarding creators, teaching, providing tools and hosting irl events.

I wish you guys all the best, appreciate everything you’ve done for Bitcoin eco 🤝

🔶 According to the statement Gamma platform (launchpad, marketplace) will now be ran by @Trustmachines
🔶 In the announcement they mentioned Stacks / Stacks NFTs multiple times, but completely omitted Ordinals 👀
This tells me that their goal might be to focus solely on Stacks eco and they might sunset Ordinals support soon, similarly to how ME went back to supporting Solana assets only.
⚠️ Just fyi, Gamma started as Stacks platform.
This also explains recent increase in their Ordinals launchpad platform fees by over 40%. Sounds familiar?

🚨 I urge all artists/creators, who have launched collections on Gamma, to request their JSON (id/metadata) files from the platform asap.
Once you have the file, you should inscribe dedicated Galleries and submit them to other marketplaces like @ordzaar , @ARKAiDio , @OrdDropz, @Satflow, and Ord .net by @lifofifo | @TheWizardsOfOrd (trading is not live yet, but they’re building database of Galleries)❗️
⚠️ Currently it costs ~$3 to inscribe gallery with 100 items

🔶 Gamma has been gatekeeping collections by listing them only on their own marketplace that’s difficult to navigate and doesn’t get much volume, so listing them on other marketplaces should give projects more exposure

🔶 It’s very disappointing that most collections minted on Gamma are not recognized by @xverse wallet - the go to wallet for Ordinals enjoyoors.
For example, it’s nearly impossible to show anyone, on my phone, artwork from one of my favorite collections @VisibleViolets by @OneLoveArtDAO (@Jeni_Pepen), because I have to search for it in „Other Collectibles” folder every single time…
Btw @janbtc , are you planning to start recognizing collections based solely on on-chain data in the near future? 👀

HOW TO INSCRIBE GALLERY

🛠️ If you don’t know how to inscribe your Gallery, don’t worry @ordzaar has launched a very affordable, dedicated tool.
Here’s how to do it on your computer (mobile is not yet supported)⬇️
🔶 go to https://t.co/LaDhiEPIh3 and connect your wallet
• select GALLERIES 👉 Explore Galleries from the menu at the top
• click Submit Gallery button (top right)
⚠️ If your collection was not listed on Magic Eden, click “No”
• upload JSON file
or
• upload two separate files with IDs and Metadata/traits if you received them from Gamma
or
• paste inscription id of each of the items from your collection
• click Add & continue button (bottom left)
• fill out all the info and select Cover Image
⚠️ you can inscribe your Gallery as a child inscription to establish additional provenance
• select low fees. I’d suggest no less than 0.2 sat/vB
• click Inscribe Gallery button at the bottom, confirm transaction in your wallet
• wait for transaction to confirm on the blockchain and you’re done 😁

🖼️ To all artists/creators who are interested in launching their own collection on Bitcoin Ordinals - if it’s a simple “editions/prints” mint, there’s no need to use launchpad.
You can easily inscribe high quality master Ordinal and 20 editions (delegates) by yourself for ~$20 and list them all directly on marketplace.
