@Maks_NAFO_FELLA How is Russia pulling this off exactly? Their sources of revenue are being blown tf up on a daily basis, including the very logistics warehouses that would be making these.
@Mylovanov How is it possible for Russia (a country with the GDP of Canada or Italy), sanctioned to hell and back, able to be this technologically reactive? How is Ukraine, with the backing of 30+ countries and hundreds of billions in aid, unable to impose a crushing defeat on them?
@ralexdc So let me get this straight. Russia helps Iran kill American service members, and he still can't side with Ukraine? The country whose apartment buildings are being blown up in 4K, the country providing them with drone technology and sharing their critical minerals?
@Maks_NAFO_FELLA There are no words to describe how craven this man is. They're being murdered, he can help stop it but won't, and wants to loot what they have left. A total fucking demon from hell.
@front_ukrainian He can't be relied on. The NATO summit went so well, everyone thought we had finally turned a corner. Then he gets back, attacks Canada for the wildfires, tariffs the world again over and now this. None of it serves the interests of the US either.
@SavchenkoReview He should have accepted the position he was offered or made peace with exiting the government. Any public detraction in wartime only helps the enemy. The people that gathered to protest put themselves in grave danger because of all this.
@Tablesalt13 You're all doom and gloom. The 50% tariffs hit about 5% of our exports and the 10% have a CUSMA exemption. Even with the sectoral tariffs in place for a year, GDP is still positive YoY. We're actually weathering this better than expected.
@jkenney Everyone involved knows their lying. It's a front. If for some reason they needed another excuse, I'm sure they have a hundred of these lined up.
@Bestiuk1 Taking out a mortgage to go to a college half way across the world is peak irresponsibility. Studying abroad is a luxury. Then to base your entire survival on 20 hours a week at a job paying $18 an hour? For the chance to get into an immigration lottery? This is astounding.
@HockleyTyson Nanas gets a pass. Also authoritarianism is a spectrum. It doesn't mean you can't go outside unbothered. People are pointing to policy choices. Attacking the media, trying to steal the 2020 election, interfering with independence of the central bank. There are many examples.
@FoodProfessor I don't believe these will ever come to pass. But if they do, they pay the tariffs, not us! And right before the midterms. He also left us a pretty detailed list of exemptions, which it would be a shame if we applied export taxes against all of those products!
@RepTomBarrett How are those things related? Smoke travels south from wildfires and you think that truckers and vacationers should have to sit in traffic for longer? You're ruining a close relationship to score points on the internet.
@RepLisaMcClain You do realise that Canada spans 10 million sq kms, right? Many of these fires start in remote areas and by the time they are detected, they are out of control. We don't want to breathe this in either. There is a multi-jurisdictional firefighting force trying to put them out.
@BobRae48 I'd make a distinction between these few personalities and the US administrative state. The FT reported yesterday that American intelligence is charting the paths for Ukrainian drone strikes deep into Russia.
@MPelletierCIO It's not great, but it's not the end of the world either. The agreement stays in place for another decade. Lots of time to get a new agreement or renew it with someone else when he's gone.
