Its all on PS ecosystem. You'd probably have a lot more 76 PC players if you'd do that. Heck, I don't even care if its a 1 way migration, not like I'm going back to PSN anyway after building a PC. Throw out a poll or survey, you probably got at least a couple thousand people who would play 76 on PC.. at least casually.

Can second almost everything Savvy said. We didn't really even think about things in the same divisive way. People on either side of the isle pretty well agreed discrimination was wrong regardless of color, and would instantly call it out if it was legit.

At the same time, we could all scream nigger in an Xbox lobby if we really wanted and nobody cared...it was a black dude doing it half the time. :P

Not to say issues didn't crop up. But I think when people realized most of the actual discrimination was gone, they couldn't play those cards anymore. You can't blame the pay gap if women make the same wage (its offset now because men work overwhelmingly more overtime, so it makes the hourly rate for men appear about 20% higher than women.) You can't blame race if you get accepted at the same rate as other races.

So now it's no longer about equal opportunity, it's about equal outcomes. The logic is if X group isn't just as successful as X group it must be because of discrimination...ignoring literally any other factor and forcing results by committee. Its essentially kindergarten logic applied at the corporate and government level rather than fixing underlying problems.

Take black crime, for example. If you take the same income level, same region and same education and for some reason black violent crime was 50+% higher than every other race...what would you do to fix it? Increase sentencing for other races? Let black convicts have lighter sentencing? Or start some actual investigation into culture and lifestyle to find the root cause? There's a reason it happens but like everything else people don't really care about the black community they just want the NUMBERS to be even so they can point to them and say "Look! Look! We're all the same now."

Its performative, and fucked up, and the left eats that shit up.

@asha_shar @XBOX Y'all need to double down. Copy GOG for ownership, keep game pass for legacy game sales.

Example: CoD, or front line games on a Microsoft clone of something like GOG. After a year to those games onto game pass, but allow people to 'own' the full price copies they bought directly. Use your new license system, tie physical sales to one licence in that GOG clone. Microsoft would keep the full sales price and people who love steam could just add the install to steam with a key. Fans get to use steam if they want, Microsoft gets to keep the full cost for people who buy it directly. To get people to use it you WILL have to provide some guarantee of ownership or access if people buy it physically or in the Microsoft GOG store.

Just my thought, but if you are really making the new system PC like, do a console price down payment $2-300. Rest of the cost over 1-2 years with complementary game pass while it's being paid off.

You'll skyrocket in sales and offset a lot of the cost, people will still own their games and console, and Microsoft can pocket most of the profit.

It'll take some work, but it's doable.

I also looked into who these “narrative consultants” are, and I just can’t wrap my head around why anyone would hire someone, whose only writing credit is “additional writing” on a pixel art mix of Tower Defense and Techno Synthwave, with a plot that revolves around "defending your town from the living embodiment of greed" as a “story consultant” on a 300 million dollar budget game. Especially, when the person also gives lectures claiming that “To prove that the space where whiteness doesn’t have to exist is where some of the best stories are told,” or where they mention that they’re here to “burn the games industry to the ground,” and who also thinks, that “Tarantino’s work does need to be critiqued out of existence.” Another consultant has a degree in marketing, and another one's only original work consists of three amateur short stories. How on earth is it possible, that you don’t need to have proper education, experience, or any track record worth mentioning, to work at a company which advises people a thousand times more talented and experienced, on how to do their jobs on triple A titles with budgets in the hundreds of millions of dollars? It's like asking a janitor to perform brain surgery on someone. And I dont need to mention, that most games where they did the consulting turned out to be commercial disasters. WHY? What is the logic behind this?
