This is the real issue—no one is against reasonable taxation for public good, but this feels like squeezing blood from already anemic citizens.

7.5% VAT layered on top of existing transfer fees + ₦50 stamp duty (now on sender) + VAT on USSD & other services = death by a thousand cuts for ordinary people moving money to survive.

Meanwhile, salary stamp duty is gone (good), intra-bank free (good), but everyday transfers, family support, small biz payments get hit harder. The math doesn't add up when inflation is still biting and wages stagnant.

Govt needs revenue, yes—but target the real tax evaders & leakages first, not the average Nigerian's N10k–N50k movements.

We're not sleeping; we're just exhausted from explaining why this hurts the wrong people.
