@arcane9s@TravisToastLord@Genki_JPN And youre right, many Zelda games could be views as the 'darkest'. OOT for example tells a story of Link who is forced into adulthood to save a thankless world full of ppl that will never know of his sacrifice.
@arcane9s@TravisToastLord@Genki_JPN I think its fair to say that TP was contrived, still an excellent production sure, but Nintendo tried desperately to steer away from the cartoony aesthetic that caused much controversy in WW. Loved it personally but thats not what we expected after that SpaceWorld demo.
@JazRignall It was text heavy games like this that were the primary drawback of owning a SFC, one inconsequential example was playing PAL versions and discovering food themes were a thing in Mario game levels.
@JazRignall I still play it from time to time, absolutely love this title.
And there's the famous "discover its 2am and you've been playing for 6 hours" line from your review that is synonymous with the game for me personally, it resonated that much.
@Genki_JPN Probably more akin to Star Fleet aka X Bomber.
Interestingly, in the Starfox Direct when the Arwings change mode, the spinning cogs are very reminiscent of the mechanism you see when Dai X is being formed.
@Keekie76@Shahryar@JazRignall The few games I do play now i still love to 100% the games, which usually consist of harder levels etc, or getting everything.
I get more out of beating the game than real life ppl, full of excuses.. 🤣
@Keekie76@Shahryar@JazRignall Thats the same boat I'm in, I dont have a competitive side in my old age and being good at a video just doesn't motivate me in any particular way, I still love them and im still proficient at it but the heart to either prove it or show off is subbed for an early night! 😄
@Keekie76@Shahryar@JazRignall I appreciate the offer unfortunately it's just really not my gig anymore!
Noisy busy places and travelling are my crytonite I'm sorry to say!
@Shahryar@Keekie76@JazRignall Well he used a pad too, but either way yeh I'd beat him. His main was Chun Li mine was Ken.
Ironically the prize for winning was a Super Nintendo and copy of the game which seemed ridiculous as we'd already owned the prize, thats how we got good enough to compete.
@Keekie76@Shahryar@JazRignall For me i just feel there is too much travel in a vertical stick, a directional pad has always felt less distance between points to me, also I like to have contact will all the buttons at all times.
@Keekie76@Shahryar@JazRignall I prefer pads too, infact ive never played anyone that used a fightstick and beat me consistently while I've used a pad.
I do have to recalibrate the button positions however.
@rayisgemini@DschlopesIsBack You talk about fighting like youre an analyst that can differentiate styles/experience then you go ahead and say "hail makers". Its Haymaker.
Your credibility has been debunked.
@ray_ray200108 It could work in a Wreck It Ralph sense, where its revealed at the end that all the characters are simply playing Smash Bros at a tournament.
Nobody ever dies in Smash so you could be fooled its purely a competitive scenario.
