I bought my first Meyer Lemon recently - never grown one before, and look forward to finding out what they are like 😊🍋🍋

Now the trees are under cover for the winter, the first to flush and perk up is the navel orange 'Lane Late'. 🍊But I feel they all need a lot of feeding up. Still at least the leaves are dark green and not yellow.🍃💚

IT'S ALIVE !!

My poor Eureka Lemon in the greenhouse over winter suffered temperatures of -8 C. There wasn't an awful lot of protection round it either.
It looked dreadful, but I had faith it would survive.
This winter it's coming into the Orangery

Buds are breaking up the trunk, and there is still green wood in the upper branches, (surprise) but I won't risk this tree again...🍋

Citrus range in a UK garden centre I would like to have seen a much bigger range to entice. Calamondin or lemon.😕

A recent study shows Lemon Juice had the effect of significantly lowering peak blood glucose and delayed that peak by more than 35 minutes.

Tip: Adding lemon juice along with something starchy reduces blood sugar spikes, reducing inflammation & promoting balance.
