I’d like to highlight something very important.

Viktor Gyökeres is not particularly strong in aerial duels or heading the ball — something we’ve seen consistently throughout the season.

So what do we see here?

He compensates for that limitation in a very intelligent way. By positioning himself wider, he separates the defender from the path of the ball and creates the space he needs. As a result, the ball drops directly to his feet, allowing him to bring it under control with ease and lay it off to a teammate.
