After 9 months and thousands of miles, it's last day of the regular season tomorrow and the end of my challenge to see a game in all 47 English counties. The last county on the list is East Yorkshire, so either @north_ferribyfc or @BridTownAFC ... a difficult choice!

Now I dont tend to go out on NYE, the 1st Jan tends to be random football ground day. Today it was @BelperTownFC v @Basfordutdfc, a good game that could have gone either way at a tidy ground with a great backdrop whatever side you watch from. Extra marks for the club shop dog too

Went to a blustery Kellaway park today for @HelstonAFC vs @stokegtpolicefc. A very entertaining game despite the weather (4-1), and a note of thanks to Martin for showing me round before the game. A lovely club, and I'm annoyed I forgot to buy a hat before I left the clubhouse!

County 4: South Yorkshire. @MainMaltby 2 -1 @DoncasterCityFC, NCEL Div. 1 25/07/25. The first game at step 6 for City but old hand Maltby were the stronger here and deserved their win. A ground with plenty of character, shame the clubhouse wasn't open though.

County 3: Kent. Whitstable Town 2 - 1 Margate, PSF 15/07/25. A hood competitive friendly, this. The game was even but an absolute worldie from Whitstable won it at the death. Whitstable is a cracking little ground, not too spoilt by its conversion to 3G. A recommended visit.
