My husband bought two KitKats one day.

He put his in the fridge and then left the next day for a two-week work trip.

I have a friend. Anytime we get on calls or meet in person, they’ll complain about their job. In a 2-hour meetup, we’d spend an hour and 30 minutes discussing how bad their colleagues are. And of course, in most cases, I will share my thoughts about how they can navigate the situation and also have a plan B to leave the place. But they didn't take any of my advice.

It began to exhaust me.

So one day, we were chatting, and they started again.

And I showed them a part of me they’ve never experienced before.

I told them I don't enjoy rants that mean nothing. I have become a trash where they dump their trauma, and I have a fragile mental health, so I would not like to discuss their workplace drama anymore unless they are willing to act. I also told them they were wasting my time.

That was the last time we had unhealthy chats about their work. And as far as I am aware, they are now thriving in the same place.

I’ve made purchases when a stock was trading at ₦68 only for the stock to drop to ₦55, I doubled down at ₦55 because I saw the lower price as a better deal.
