@joyso6cm True. It's also worth noting that in the story the reason why he wants to quit Robin isn't bc he doesn't want to fight anymore, but bc he's SCARED. A kid almost dies and it scares him cuz he doesn't want to lose anybody
@joyso6cm This! While I understand people that want Damian to be "free" from the vigilante life (seeing as he was 'forced' into it) I think it misunderstands his character a little bit. Damian has always relied on his abilities as a fighter first, and it is something he's proud of
@catconnoisseu Personally it's just really upsetting to see that back and forth with Damian's character growth. Especially since Batman and Robin already tackled a similar storyline and did it in such a rewarding way for people that have been following Damian's arc
@catconnoisseu It's such a stark contrast to Phillip characterization of Damian, that it just ends up feeling like Matt doesn't understand the character, and his strengths
There needs to be a realization for you guys that the Damian characterization in this run is simply- just not good. And thatβs perfectly fine to admit. Itβs not a crime against God.
