@Maximumatheist So was Genesis intended to be a scientific manual?
Does the bible consistently describe God as omnipotent etc or does it imply a more relational and dynamic knowledge?
Does the bible describe God as a creative force or prescribe God as the permanent changer of things
@Ernest1588761 Alternatively….the Israelites interpreted divine judgment in a certain way and actually the teaching of Christ is the lens through which we should see the actions described in the Old Testament
@Muslimah0_0 It’s important to understand how John uses the word ‘word’ it reflects divine nature. John says that the word became flesh meaning Jesus is the perfect manifestation and embodiment of the divine nature
@luvtifee Ok well God is not consistently portrayed as all knowing etc certainly having a great understanding of you etc but the idea that he sees everything as an unfolding series or even as a present manifestation is not explained in the bible
@UgoCannon The bible often presents Gods knowledge as relational or dynamic so omniscience is it explicitly or consistently claimed. If you don’t understand maybe sit this one out champ
@athiestboi Ok so Kingdom has a specific meaning that is not bound to geography but authority. It’s also possible that Christ was shown a vision. It’s also possible that this is a theological point about denying the fleeting glory of this world for something greater
