There is a really snobish attitude amoungst cricket in this country that bringing the sport to other parts of the country is 'pointless'. We will never have an international from Carlow, Laois, Roscommon etc if every bit of money gets pumped back into the cricket strongholds.

The committee of BCC would like to express it's extreme disappointment on being informed in recent days that Cricket Leinster have decided to terminate the role of the Midlands Development Officer, working with clubs including ours, throughout the South East and Midlands region.
