Alhamdulillah
“She has stopped hawking from today forever…”
As we previously requested help in finding this young girl, Alhamdulillah, our brothers in Bauchi recognized her and she was reunited with her parents. We spoke with them, and this young girl has now been supported with startup capital so that she will stop hawking masa (local food) and we have enrolled her in an Islamic school so she can continue her education.
Her father also informed our representatives that she will never sell masa again, and he said that even if a husband is found for her through our side, they are ready. May Almighty Allah guide and bless the process.

Words fail me to describe the sadness and pain of losing one of our finest military officers after he was abducted by criminals while travelling with his wife in Katsina State last month. His mutual friend and his colleague during their master’s degree, Permanent Secretary Adamu Abadam, described him as a complete gentleman: humble, generous, and extraordinarily caring to everyone.
Major General Rabe Abubakar held a high-profile position as military spokesman between 2015 and 2017. Furthermore, his immense contributions to counter-insurgency operations and his commitment to duty, and to the stability and unity of Nigeria, remain a shining example for all as stated by the Nigerian Army.
My heartfelt condolences go to his family, relatives, friends, the Katsina State Government, the Nigerian Army, and all those affected by his death.
May Allah overlook his shortcomings and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus together with our departed parents and loved ones, and grant his family the patience to bear this irreplaceable loss. May Allah humiliate the criminals, their supporters and sponsors.
BREAKING: Last night, bandits reportedly imposed a ₦20 million levy on residents of Kwandawa community in Malumfashi LGA of Katsina State, warning that the community must pay if they wished to remain in the village. The demand was reportedly linked to the killing of a bandit in the area.
The bandits also went house-to-house, looting bridal gifts and household items belonging to newly married women. They later moved to the villages of Tsaraka and Maturi, where similar reports emerged of newlyweds being stripped of their belongings.
As rural communities continue to face intimidation, displacement and economic hardship, one painful question remains; how much longer must innocent civilians bear the burden of this conflict?
Somali referee Omar Artan will be paid for his World Cup match assignments by FIFA, sources told ESPN, after he was refused entry into the United States prior to the start of the tournament.
Artan, recognized as Africa's leading referee, returned to Somalia after being turned away from the U.S. on his arrival in Miami last week because of visa issues.
Why isn’t anyone talking about this?
🇳🇬 Nigeria’s Abdurraheem Almufti Yelwa has won the prestigious Holy Qur’an Recitation Competition at Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia.

DANDUME IN TEARS AS BANDITS KILL PROMINENT FARMER, ALHAJI BALA SANIN KAWO
Bandits have reportedly kidnapped and killed Alhaji Bala Sanin Kawo, a prominent farmer and businessman from Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Alhaji Bala was regarded as one of the most influential agricultural figures in Dandume, producing thousands of bags of farm produce annually and creating employment opportunities for over 5,000 people. He was the eldest son of Alhaji Sani Kawo, one of the most respected farmers in the history of the local government.
According to reports, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Alhaji Bala and one of his aides, Bara'u Kwaro, were abducted by bandits while returning from one of his farms near Dantakari town. Sadly, at about 1PM today, the bandits reportedly contacted his family and informed them that they had killed him, directing relatives to the location where his body could be recovered.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, friends and the people of Dandume the strength to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss.
This tragedy comes amid worsening insecurity in Dandume and neighboring local governments, where residents have endured repeated attacks, abductions and killings in recent days.

In 2013, João Cancelo’s mother Filomena was killed in a tragic car accident. 🥺
Cancelo, who was 18 years old, and his younger brother, who was only 8, survived the crash.
“It was a matter of milliseconds that changed my life forever,” he told Alta Definição.
“I remember some things. I remember my mother’s final scream. I remember my brother crying — he was still just a child, 8 years old.”
“I tried to lift the car to get my mother out from underneath it, but I couldn’t. I just couldn’t.”
“Everything was so dark. We were off the highway, down an embankment. I tried with all my strength to lift the car, but it was impossible. Lifting a car is simply impossible.”
Sending love and strength to you, João ❤️🙏
