Bahamas’ First Female Minister of Tourism Welcomed During Caribbean Week
During Caribbean Week in New York 2026, CTO welcomed Glenys Hanna-Martin, The Bahamas’ Minister of Tourism, the first woman in the nation’s history to hold the tourism portfolio.
Minister Hanna-Martin was warmly received by her Caribbean colleagues as she joined the region’s tourism leaders for this week’s high-level discussions and engagements. A distinguished six-term parliamentarian and former minister responsible for education, transport and aviation, she brings a wealth of experience, insight and leadership to one of the Caribbean’s most important economic sectors.
We extend our congratulations and look forward to working closely with Minister Hanna-Martin as we advance the shared vision of “One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences.”
