1/ I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Oromo artist and protest singer Zarihun Wodajo. He was a fearless and tireless musician who embodied the tradition of Oromo resistance music.
Watch the moment Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed revealed this afternoon in Addis Abeba that “negotiation” between the government and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), which the government refers to as “OLF/Shene”, will start “the day after tomorrow in #Tanzania.”
The OLA itself hasn’t, as of yet, commented on the news.

One of the hardest part of this war, on top of the devastation it brought to civilians especially in west, south & central Oromia, is the fact that the IC didn't find reason to believe its existence, let alone its impact. For one it's a hidden war with commun'n blackout. Familiar?

A giant has fallen!
Ali Birra sang the #Oromo meaning of life: the fight to be a free nation & of course about love.
Ethiopia loved the way he sang & his intricate melody, which made him a safe channel for the Oromo to sing our truth unafraid, for six decades.
R.I.P Adeeroo 💔
A pioneer and legendary Oromo artist Ali Bira has passed away. Ali Bira has made enormous contributions to Oromo arts and culture. We will keep honoring and remembering his legacy.
