Iran understood that from the beginning.
Vance had already revealed the purpose: use the pause to refill oil supplies and stocks, then reassess the American position.
Tehran was not fooled into confusing a tactical pause with American good faith.
These statements are aimed as much at markets as at Iran. A sovereign nation does not entrust its security to headlines designed to move oil, stocks and public emotion.

The sequence is unmistakable:
Washington promised. Washington signed. Washington struck again.
Iran entered diplomacy without surrendering its sovereignty. The U.S. treated diplomacy as another instrument of coercion.
A nation attacked after an agreement owes the aggressor no blind trust. It owes its own people memory, resistance and defense.

Washington has now put Iran’s water infrastructure on the target map.
According to the IRGC’s stated doctrine, countries hosting the American bases enabling these attacks should expect reciprocal escalation, including possible strikes on their own desalination infrastructure.
They will protest when it happens. But they cannot host a war against Iran, help destroy the water supply of Iranian villages, and then demand that their own infrastructure remain untouchable.
That is not endorsement. It is the predictable logic of the war they chose to host.
