Finally some good news: Ali Javanmardi has reportedly been let go by VOA Persian and is now fighting to return.

Javanmardi brought divisive, partisan Iranian politics into the newsroom and used VOA Persian to advance his own political agenda. His brazen propaganda alienated many mainstream Iranians, leading them to boycott the outlet and further diminishing its reach and credibility.

I sincerely hope that, under new and professional leadership, VOA Persian can restore its credibility and reclaim its rightful place in the Persian-language media landscape.

We are ready to work with the new management to help lift that boycott, rebuild trust with Iranian audiences, and return VOA Persian to the respected and influential platform it should be.
