It's official: You can now hail an autonomous vehicle in Dubai via the Apollo Go app 🤳
Apollo Go's fully autonomous ride-hailing service is now open to the public, marking its first international app deployment.
The launch comes alongside Apollo Go's strategic collaboration with @DTCUAE, drawing on their strong local operational expertise.
With the continuous support from @rta_dubai and DTC on the ground, we're taking another big step toward scaling autonomous mobility, aiming to deploy 1000+ autonomous vehicles in Dubai in the coming years.
Welcome to Baidu, @lyft!
@davidrisher, we were glad to show you and the team around, share more of our latest autonomous driving progress, and get you in the passenger seat. Looks like you had a good ride too 🚖
Excited for the next chapter with Lyft as Apollo Go gets set for the UK, with broader expansion across Europe to follow.

Apollo Go launched in Haikou last year as the island's first fully operational autonomous ride service. Curated routes now take riders through coastal districts, historic neighborhoods and other key parts of the city.
Haikou is just one of several cities across the country where these routes are now in operation.
Not a bad way to get around a city. 🚘🌴
🔥 Apollo Go has been on the move, pushing cumulative rides beyond 20M as of February 2026.
In the last quarter of 2025 alone, 3.4M fully driverless rides were completed, with weekly rides peaking at over 300K and total rides increasing more than 200% YoY.
Booking an Uber in Dubai could soon mean riding with Apollo Go!
In the coming month, Apollo Go autonomous vehicles will be available via the @Uber app, starting in the Jumeirah area, in partnership with Dubai's @rta_dubai. Riders may be matched with a fully driverless Apollo Go vehicle when booking UberX, Uber Comfort, or by choosing the "Autonomous" option.
So… ready for your next Uber ride to be driverless? 👀
#RTA is showcasing the autonomous taxi initiative in its fourth phase for visitors of the #WorldGovSummit, following three phases of trial runs and map and data collection in collaboration with Apollo Go.
This initiative represents a preparatory phase for the commercial launch planned at the end of Q1 of this year, as part of carefully planned steps to enhance Dubai’s future transport system.
Hamdan bin Mohammed launches the official operations of fully autonomous RT6 taxi vehicles developed by Baidu Apollo Go, as part of Dubai’s smart mobility ecosystem. His Highness took a ride in the autonomous vehicle to the venue of the World Governments Summit at Madinat Jumeirah, marking a significant step that reflects the emirate’s rapid progress in adopting future mobility solutions and translating its vision and strategic plans into practical, on-the-ground applications.
We were back at the @WorldGovSummit in Dubai this year.
Earlier today, we were honored to have H.H. Sheikh @HamdanMohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, experience our fully driverless technology firsthand, accompanied by H.E. Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of @rta_dubai, as Apollo Go powered the summit's first-ever fully driverless fleet as its exclusive provider.
It also marked the delivery of a promise. During a fireside chat at last year's summit, our CEO Robin Li and the UAE Minister for AI, H.E. @OmarSAlolama, discussed the idea of powering a future summit with an all-autonomous fleet.
Dubai is moving fast toward a driverless future, and we're thrilled to be part of it!
On my way to the World Governments Summit 2026, I took a ride in a fully autonomous taxi, enabled by artificial intelligence, advanced sensing technologies, and autonomous decision-making systems. The future of mobility in Dubai will be smarter, safer, more efficient, and more inclusive. We are turning vision into reality, building sustainable transport that improves quality of life for everyone.
I have directed the official launch of the autonomous taxi service, set to commence next month with 100 fully autonomous vehicles joining our fleet. My thanks to the RTA team and our global partners for redefining urban mobility. This is only the beginning of our journey to the future. The best is yet to come for Dubai.
📷 Get ready, Abu Dhabi!
Apollo Go x AutoGo is launching fully autonomous ride-hailing — now live in the AutoGo app.
Service starts on Yas Island, with plans for phased expansion to Reem, Al Maryah, and Saadiyat Islands and the long-term objective of operating across the wider Abu Dhabi emirate.
Driving in megacities means navigating a network of bridges and elevated highways alongside dense city streets, where buses, cars, bikes, and scooters share the road.
Watch how Apollo Go’s autonomous driving technology expertly handles these diverse scenarios 👇

A first for Dubai🚦
Apollo Go has received Dubai's first fully driverless testing permit from @rta_dubai, allowing fully autonomous vehicles to operate on public roads with no safety driver.
Issued at the opening of Apollo Go Park in Dubai — Apollo Go's first overseas operations and management hub — the permit marks a key step toward launching a fully autonomous commercial ride-hailing service in the emirate as early as Q1 2026.
London, here's the latest 👀
Following Apollo Go's partnership with @lyft announced in August, we're now ready to start testing in London in the coming months with dozens of RT6 autonomous vehicles set to hit London streets in 2026.
Once available via the Lyft and Freenow ecosystem, Apollo Go's vehicles will operate as part of a hybrid mobility network, working alongside existing transport options across the city.
Soon, Londoners will have one more way to move through their city, wherever they're headed, day or night.
London, your autonomous ride is calling!📱
Since teaming up in July, Apollo Go and @Uber are getting ready to pilot autonomous vehicles in London in 2026.
Backed by hundreds of millions of autonomous kilometers, and a global footprint in 22 cities — plus more than 250,000 weekly trips — Apollo Go will bring the benefit of autonomous driving to more people with Uber, with testing expected to begin in the first half of 2026.
This also marks Apollo Go's foray into another major right-hand drive market, building on the validated experience gained from expanding testing in Hong Kong since receiving the city's first permit in late 2024.
See you on the road, London!
