South Korea is expanding the use of artificial intelligence across agriculture. Smart farms, data systems, and automated technologies are helping farmers monitor conditions, reduce manual labor, and improve productivity.
As agriculture faces growing pressures from climate change and labor shortages, integrating advanced technology with sustainable land practices can help strengthen food systems and rural livelihoods.

Much of soil life is invisible to the human eye.
But new tools are helping scientists study this hidden world without digging into the ground every time. Using airborne sensors, satellite imagery, and machine learning, researchers can now track signs of microbial activity, monitor biological soil crusts, and estimate soil carbon across large landscapes.
This matters because soil health is shaped not only by what we see above ground, but also by the living systems beneath it. Better monitoring can help us understand ecological change earlier and respond more effectively.
When invisible life becomes easier to map, protecting soil becomes more informed.

If only improving soil were that easy. Building healthy soil requires restoring organic matter, supporting microbial life, and protecting soil structure over time.

While some stories reach for the sky, ours has been unfolding on the ground—scaling up in a different way. From building one of the world's largest nurseries to reaching thousands of farmers across the Cauvery basin, our team is hitting new milestones.
No harnesses, just a lot of heart, 8.5 million saplings, and some very hardworking feet on the ground.
See what "new heights" looks like for us! 🌍✨

Kazakhstan Makes History with Landmark Soil Protection Law!
"Soil is not just dirt; it is a living entity" - this has been at the heart of the Save Soil movement. On 8 July 2026, it also became the foundation of a landmark law in Kazakhstan when President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the country's first Law on Soil Protection, recognizing soil as an independent natural body and committing to its restoration, protection, fertility, and long-term monitoring 🪱🌏
The journey began in 2023, when Save Soil volunteer Alma set out to make a soil law a reality for Kazakhstan, inspired by the founder Sadhguru’s vision ✨
Working with scientists, FAO, the Ministries of Agriculture and Ecology, Majilis (Parliament) and the Senate, the Scientific, Technical and Policy teams at Save Soil helped provide scientific evidence and comparative policy analyses that supported the bill through four rigorous stages of review 📊
From the Senator's proposal, to the Prime Minister, to its final presidential approval, the law stands as a testament to what committed citizens, science, and policymaking can achieve together 💚🌱

Mangrove ecosystems play a critical role in coastal protection, biodiversity, and long-term carbon storage. However, assessing their recovery after degradation or restoration has often been difficult because consistent measurement systems are lacking.
Researchers are now developing a soil health index designed specifically for mangrove environments. By tracking indicators such as carbon retention, nutrient cycling, and soil chemistry, this approach could help improve how restoration efforts are evaluated and managed.

Can national policy improve soil health? In recent decades, China has implemented programs aimed at protecting farmland and restoring degraded land across the country.
These initiatives combine soil monitoring, improved nutrient management, and sustainable farming practices. Long-term strategies like these highlight how coordinated efforts can help improve soil conditions while supporting agricultural productivity.

Confusion is a better state than living with stupid conclusions. Your conclusions offer comfort and a false sense of security, but there is no possibility. In confusion, there is still a possibility.
