This is such a huge issue that no one talks about! We need to be active in our communities. It’s so easy to become complacent and cold towards others, but when we have a sense of community it helps to build our sense of compassion towards each other.

But there isn't much community.

No after-work meetups at the pub. No popping over to neighbors houses unannounced. No kids playing with other kids and group dinners several nights / wk.

And I think thats why most Americans are miserable.
