@SouthwestAir WHY!? Forced checked bags boarding groups 5+, get on plane and there are 6 (SIX) completely open bins with absolutely no bags in them!?

Intentionally travel with just carry on and this is infuriating when you’re on a tight time schedule!

1- Delayed out of Geneva bcuz pilot couldn’t connect iPad to WiFi/5G to hand over papers!?
2 - Switched plane to OLD small, old craft at LHR
3- Massively delayed at ORD bcuz couldn’t approach the gate
4 - Delayed bags and NO staff to help

4- Baggage staff at ORD unhelpful, said we had to file claim online or call - no in person help. When we called, Customer Service hung up 3x! Told us they could not help we had to go back to the airport!

About a year ago, we went to Mexico for my wife’s 33rd birthday.

We argued most of the day about stupid shit. 12 years of marriage stuff. 3 kids and 2 busy careers stuff.

It all changed 2 weeks later.

She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

Life turned upside down.

A year of hospitals, chemotherapy and a new decade of treatments. It’s easy to look back and wonder what we were so upset about on the beach in Mexico everyone seemingly healthy.

It’s easy to get addicted to problems—“needing” more work, more money, more prep for a storm to come.

When the storm came, we had to wing it anyway.

Enjoy the smooth seas—you’ll be better prepped to handle the choppy water than burnout through constant vigilance.
