Today into the night our company came home. For Orson. Gathered in the theatre he loved. Sharing, consoling comforting. Whisky, coffee & food was in abundance. Tears and laughter. Orson would've loved it-There's no people like show people-Orson would tell you that in a heartbeat.
RIP Orson Bean, a showman who cared deeply about being good at his job. His solo show told his own story, and it was a gem. Praise meant a lot to him, and he would drop me emails to keep me apprised of his work and to say he wished I was happy and well.
