Six suspects arrested for cable theft and damage to infrastructure

In a joint operation involving Deka Specialized Services, Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (WC), AfriForum Krugersdorp, Joint Ops Group, EC Security, and Piquant Security, information was received about six suspects who fled after being caught stealing cables.

Members dispersed and managed to apprehend four suspects in the Noordheuwel area. Another suspect was found hiding nearby, while the sixth was arrested after a vehicle chase in Muldersdrift, where officers recovered stolen cables from the vehicle.

All six suspects were arrested for malicious damage to essential infrastructure, cable theft, and contravening the immigration act.

However, he cannot accept any donations or sponsorships related to his official duties, as his primary focus is to fulfill the mandate given to him by the Constitution. Instead, he kindly requests that any unconditional donations be directed to the SAPS Education Trust (#SAPSET). This Trust has been established to cater for the educational needs of the children of police officers who have died in the line of duty. This would include school fees, books, uniform and other necessities. This trust is managed by an independent board that is subject to necessary checks and balances. There has been calls in the past for citizens to support this course.
