Thinking about how having God on your side is a super power. Strength, perseverance, compassion, wisdom…all gifts from the almighty.
There are things that we can do to strengthen those powers or dull them out.
Constant nourishment of the mind, body, and soul is required.
Your job as a trader is not to predict perfectly.
Your job is to behave properly in an environment where outcomes are never guaranteed.
That’s a very different skillset.
And very few train for it deliberately.
Inexperienced traders will usually look for:
- Predictions
- Bold market calls
- Guarantees
- Fast turnarounds
Experienced traders focus on:
- Good risk vs reward
- Decent odds
- Correct position sizing
- Correct stop-loss placement
- Discipline
- Consistency
- Long term
Meditation is powerful.
Journaling is powerful.
But those alone won’t fix trading behavior.
You must train composure inside uncertainty...
... inside the actual heat of trading.
Otherwise, everything you do stays conceptual.
A sniper does not fire because he has been lying still for six hours and wants it to be worth the wait.
He fires because the conditions are met.
If they are never met, he goes home with a full magazine.
That is not a failed mission.
That is the mission.
