Xbox promised that the Activision and Bethesda acquisitions were going to help positively develop and expand the game industry.

Years later this acquisition has destroyed so many studios and the livelihoods of many talented developers with the layoffs.

Xbox is laying off 8% of its workforce today. That is 1600 people who are losing their livelihoods, with further cuts expected in the near future.

The gaming industry is incomprehensibly terrible right now. I actually cannot remember a time where it felt this bad.

— Sony is killing physicals.

— Generative AI is becoming more widely adopted.

— Layoffs are happening virtually everywhere.

— Console/hardware prices are continuing to rise exponentially.

— Xbox is crumbling.

Honestly the story of GTA 5 is so bad and the ending makes no sense.

In the end an experienced criminal and a psychopath decide to eliminate the people who forced them to do their dirty work. So why didn't they do that at the start of the game? Genuinely a very bad story.

I've only just completed the original Tomb Raider for the very first time after failing to do so when I was a kid.

Each level is easily recognisable even with this being a completely overhauled remake. Hoping they keep the boss fights as challenging as the original.
