Writer, speaker, storyteller. I do words for the journey 🗺️ If you feel a lot and believe magic still exists in the everyday, you’re in the right place 💖
I’m so tired of toxic people using the global sorrow to fuel their own comfortable misery and trying to
keep others stagnantly miserable like them there I said it.
@scottdprice Im glad to hear it. And I understand that, I’ve been collecting some of those stories recently too. Maybe even a few saved to match the atmosphere of a dark and stormy moonless night ⚡️⛈️ 🌑
She emerges from the swamp caked with muck which she peels off her body in large chunks. In the algae-cast water, she rinses green silt from her hair, squeegies her face dry with her fingers, then steps through the weeds and says, "Now THAT was a mud bath."

#dearintern I created the original website content for a major ag financing institution. On one of the sites, I didn't know what to say about crop insurance for the umpteenth time so I wrote "Crop insurance: Get ye some." Then promptly forgot about it and that copy went live.
In the same day I was described two different ways:
1. Straightforward and direct
2. Creative word orchestrator, choosing stylized words and turns of phrase when I could have been super direct
Well. Both are true.

Audience research is not the same thing as showing something to your stakeholders to get their opinion.
Don’t rely on the executive view of your audience to understand their goals, needs, perspectives, values, and motivations.
Instead, go ask them yourself.

Keep saying the thing. About the time you're sick and tired of saying it, that's when people start to realize what you've been saying all along.
You've said it 7,000 times. They just truly understood it for the first time.
Keep saying it.
