Tonight’s stargazing had me looking for Hoot the Owl! I love the creative thinking that occurred to find Hoot in the sky, so I tried my luck at creative thinking with some hand binoculars tonight. I used Sky Walk 2 to find the constellations where Hoot was “spotted!” @DorOKSG
Tonight I used G.S.W.P. to reflect on Urania’s Mirror card set. This card set helped me view the constellations differently than I usually view them. The cards seem very organic to the layout of the stars to me! My selfie is my hand in the shape the moon is tonight! @DorOKSG
Tonight I used the Star Walk 2 app and new knowledge from a Ted Talk given by Wanda Diaz-Merced to really “tune in” while stargazing! By listening to the music in the app, I noticed musical cues that led me to find Planet 9, which I had never heard of! Amazing! @DorOKSG
Tonight’s view was incredible! After reading Kepler’s theoretical astronomy and the relation to music, I became much more aware of the musical changes in the Star Walk app as I moved from planets to stars and how it affected my views of each. WOW! @DorOKSG
Tonight’s weather was less than favorable, but because of Go Sky Watch 2 I was able to better visualize the sky tonight! Though I couldn’t see much, I did glimpse a decent look at Mars. I was able to see without a telescope! I also love the AR aspects of this app! @DorOKSG
Tonight I used GoSkyWatchPlanetarium to view the night sky. The sky was extremely cloudy to the naked eye. Here are some screenshots of what could have been visible to me! My favorite view was of the Andromeda Galaxy, it is intriguing to have the statistics to view! @DorOKSG
