I audiobooked this last year (I'm dyslexic, give me a break) and fell in love. But I don't think Baumbach is the man for the job or maybe this is unfair and I just want my fanserve. This must be what it's like to be a comic book kid.

@mrbonturcode Definitely. Hope she's due a new one soon. Claflin was amazing, though a struggle to like, the who cast is great. I do wish Clare got the bloody revenge herself, it did sag, also maybe you could drop a rape or two but maybe that's because I'm going soft.

Pitching a couple of period projects at the moment so finally watched The Nightingale last night. It's powerful and beautiful but unrelentingly brutal. Made me think again about whether a film can go too far? Maybe its realism makes it so. Perhaps most movies feel over directive.
