Dreams of Another: My latest game announced! Japanese Multimedia Artist. Music, Art, DJ. Creative Director at Q-Games. PixelJunk Eden, 4am/LBP2 日本語は→ @baiyon_jp
The latest game I directed "Dreams of Another" is announced for PS5/PS VR2! I began creating the concept from scratch, with art and sound, and took on new challenge of crafting the entire story, weaving in my doubts and struggles into the dialogue for all characters and objects.
Here is a new thread that focuses on video game disc design. I wanted to share my collection for a long time! Each one tells a unique story and it is fun to imagine what the game is about with the limited colors! Take a look at the bizarre past of disc designs with me.

I was reminded of Editions Mego recently. Its work feels profoundly important to me, both personally and historically.
I was especially blown away when I first heard track 03 from Pita’s Get Out.
At the time, I was making similar kinds of noise myself, experimenting and trying to figure out whether noise was really the best medium for what I wanted to express.
At least for me, there was a feeling that noise had to remain noise. I felt conflicted about bringing anything sentimental or melodic into it, as if doing so would somehow mean selling out.
That’s why this brutally simple, exhilarating statement of a track became such a decisive signpost for me.
It showed me that you didn’t have to stop being noise to get closer to what you wanted to express.
And now, listening to it again, the melody brings back memories from that time.
Music really is a wonderful thing.
