If you ever doubt how magical this world is, one day you will decide to go to a World Cup watch party in Oakland that you found online to root for a country where you spent two years trying to coax English out of the mouths of Cape Verdean teenagers. 1/7
Man City are signing Elliot Anderson for a British record £130m.
Seems like those 115 alleged charges for breaking Financial Fair play rules are really serving as a deterrent.
Over 3 years have passed, and we’re still awaiting the verdict on Manchester City’s pending 115 financial breaches.
Signing Elliot Anderson for £130m will now take their spending to roughly £823m during that period.
Yep. Nothing to see here at all. Completely normal behaviour.

Propaganda about Europe needing AC is dangerous and must stop
Heat waves are uncomfortable, yes, but they are survivable with basic common sense
AC is a luxury that accelerates the climate crisis causing these hot summers!
Instead destroying our planet even more, we must embrace sensible solutions: staying in a shade, opening windows at night and siestas
Europeans don't "need" AC to live productive lives
Let's just accept that sometimes weather is hot (shocking, I know)
A little discomfort is a small price for being morally correct
“The foul that break Ismael Kone’s leg, committed by Qatari midfielder Assim Madibo, was a reasonably bad one - but not horrendous.
“However, it was announced on Wednesday by FIFA that he is to be banned for five games, up from the initial mandatory one game.
“It smacks of FIFA trying to make an example of a relatively low-profile player that they knew wouldn’t be a factor in the remainder of the tournament.
“Similar fouls have happened without the consequences being so dire, for both the tackler and the tackled.
“Hopefully Qatar will appeal and the decision will be reversed. But as things stand, FIFA have reacted to the outcome of an incident, rather than the incident itself.”

Stunning result. After the opening game I was already convinced South Africa were the worst team in the tournament. Incredible job by them to recover and qualify for the round of 32
