the problem comes from those who use AI without a single thought of intention. without training to translate your philosophy into a piece of work, it's just mere craft, not art.
some people forget what's like to be human.
Of course there’s those that aren’t interested in the pursuit. They want to commodify the end result by exploiting the works of real artists. They can get fucked. Any outfit that endorses or practices it can get fucked, too.
I oppose A.I. art and stand in solidarity with my colleagues, many of whom have already made excellent points against it. All I can think to add to this conversation is that those using A.I. to “create” are depriving themselves of the rich, transformative journey the arts offers
Art is also not being gatekept from you. You can still pick up art supplies or get a cheap tablet, that’s where we ALL started. But if you want to skip that and make some jenky ai art then you don’t want to make art you want to consume it.
