Alhamdulillah, after many decades of yearning for this opportunity, Allah blessed me to visit Bilād al-Shām and travel to many of its cities, and interact with some of its scholars and leaders. Everywhere I went, the mood of the people was one of optimism and happiness, after decades of living under the yoke of civil war, tyranny and oppression.

Especially in this sensitive time, when there is so much negativity in the world, what happened in Syria represents a ray of hope and a brighter future. No group is perfect, but let us try to help where we can, and correct them wisely if they fall short.

Last week I visited this orphanage in Jomvu and it is in such a bad state. It has 75 kids. The toilets where the kids go are horrible with a huge hole right infront that reeks of sewage. They need help building the toilets and food. If you'd like to pass by
