Hey #pln community! @peardeck is doing some pretty cool things to deepen child exploration and bring light to some important "teaching truths." Check them out!
#pstpln#educ331 @Bigler_Michelle
This week’s Teaching Truth is ⚒️Excavate and Expand!⚒️ This Truth helps us keep in mind how critical it is to help students connect "what" they’re learning to "why" they’re learning, and to go deeper!

@krross24@krross24 Thank you for sharing this resource! I love how this website gives you concrete, real experiences that you can incorporate into your classroom! :) #pstpln
@AbigayleJudd@AbigayleJudd i am so thankful you shared this website! I love that the home page presents their "image of the child." The words they use are empowering!
hey everyone! i wanted to share a link to a really interesting article that looks at natured based education and Kindergarten Readiness! #pstpln#optoutside#forestschool https://t.co/wZpA4QJPNe
Hi, #pstpln community! I just wanted to share this link to a great website that truly captures the essence of forest schools! https://t.co/QOu4rLZR42 #nature#education#childhood 🌻🌳🍂
@Lamb_Samantha21, I think that being persistent in your desire to have relationship with them is important. Their child is the bonding point of your relationship, so taking any chance to encourage them and be a consistent resource for them could be helpful! #dojochatEU
@l_davis98, this is a great point! In the past, I have seen teachers make "social stories" that tell the story of a child's day (parents can take these home too)! I think this provides the parents with a glimpse into the relationship you are building with their child! #dojochatEU
I have found that setting aside "special time" with each student is a great way to intentionally get to know each child. I think that simple observations of their interests (and joining in on their play) gives a lot of insight into who they are! #dojochatEU#pstpln @CoachDave_007
Hi @AbigayleJudd, I'm so glad you brought up this question up! I think one of the most beneficial ways to connect with parents is to share sweet moments that you witnessed their child engage in during the day! #pstpln#dojochatEU
I hope for my classroom to be based in an outdoor environment so that the smallest of people can fully engage in their surrounding world. Do you have any suggestions for providing experiences or outdoor provocations that are focused on literacy development?#pstpln@outdoorteacher
