I don’t have a dog in this fight, but that OT Texas A&M catch and fumble should have been called. LSU was ripped off. LSU won this game. #LSUvsTAMU#LSUFootball
So to recap:
- game winning interception overturned
- 4th & 18 where the A&M receiver came up short was not reviewed
- game winning fumble was ruled incomplete and never reviewed
- phantom pass interference to give them another 2 point conversion
A&M had 3 PENALTIES ALL NIGHT
I'm a sportscaster from Baton Rouge who covers #LSU.
That being said...
The officiating crew tonight is being hammered nationally by media and others who had no dog in the #LSU - Texas A&M fight.
A&M fumbled that ball in the first overtime. I was feet away. Fumble.
POSTGAME | #LSU director of player personnel Kevin Faulk and an unknown man with what appears to be an #Aggie bench credential throw punches on the field after @AggieFootball defeated @LSUfootball in 7-OT @theadvocatebr
The only acceptable ending to the #LSUvsTAMU game would have been TAMU winning after twelve overtimes and then symbolically crowning the ref as the twelfth man in a postgame ceremony
Game of the year?! Please.
1. Delpit interception to win. Overturned
2. A&M a yard short on 4th & 18 which ends the game
3. Refs put 1 sec on the clock after A&M spikes ball when time expired
4. A&M fumbles & LSU recovers ending the game. Ruled incomplete
