The Statesville (N.C.) Airport is shut down due to the Cessna Citation corporate jet that crashed at 10:15 a.m. in poor weather conditions. The identities of those on board the jet and those who died in the crash have not been released. The jet was owned by #NASCAR champion Greg Biffle who played an instrumental role in rescue efforts after the remnants of Hurricane Helene devastated Western North Carolina and East Tennessee last year.
