You’re a wise person and if you’re a wise person the first two years of Prez Mahama’s second term should enable you have a fair idea on whether you’ll vote NDC or NPP.
I am a very persuasive writer so read attentively on why NDC at this rate must continue till 2032 to advance development in this country. I’ll also point out some things that must be addressed.
1. If you’re a law student, junior lawyer or someone interested in studying law, just understand that when students demonstrated during the NPP era against the monopoly and unfairness in the Ghana school of law, they were assaulted by the police.
The NDC heard their plight. Professor Atuguba a renowned policy advisor and current Director of Legal Education advised on a working framework for legal education in Ghana and many people who were unfairly treated or denied their right to legal education has received progressive justice. The monopoly of the Ghana school of Law and Ghana Bar Association has also ended.
2. We demonstrated against galamsey and illegal mining practices. This NDC government came into power, arrested and prosecuted one of the most powerful politicians in the country, took him on trial and he’s currently convicted and imprisoned for offenses related to illegal mining. That’s progressive justice. Still more work needs to be done. GoldBod is a working institution and is fulfilling its mandate. It has been commended by other countries too. In terms of mining and development the Damang mine operations and projects shows we can leave this sector to local operatives instead of foreign companies.
3. Progressive Justice extends to the Obuasi Headmaster issue. The political party listened. However a lot needs to be done in matters concerning granting of bail and right to free speech.
4. Progressive Justice and protection of the rights and safety of our fellow citizens in South Africa. The government acted satisfactorily. Dumsor is also under control. There’s effective communication from the government. State bodies are making profit including Tema Oil Refinery. The YEA should do better.
5. Because of the wars and economic crisis our cedi apparently depreciated greatly against other currencies. There have been more international conflicts over the last couple of years including the Isreal Palestinian, Russia Ukraine, and middle belt conflicts. However the cedi improved from as high as 16 to a dollar to 11-12 stability for a couple of years and ongoing.
6. Some ministers have not been performing satisfactorily and we can all point to some famous lions and lionesses in government. However the ministers who are doing extraordinarily overshade the bad ones. I commend the Finance minister for economic growth and stability. I commend the President for choosing the right people for certain infrastructural projects including the Big Push project.
7. I commend the government for building better communicators as compared to NPP but there’s still more that needs to be done. The Amasaman communicator’s remarks on the rape matter was damaging. Also the statements concerning the Vice President were not the best. There’s been a clear difference between experienced communicators and those that seek more training.
8. Quite surprisingly, the best Ministry to me is the Ministry of Justice. I commend the Deputy Ag in his prosecutions and state defense across various court forums.
9. I finally commend the fact that in this government it seems the right things are being done. Clearing the Labadi beach front was the right decision. The 24 hour project has not progressed to our satisfaction. The government is open to completing some of the projects left behind by the previous government.
From Aburi all the way to Accra central and all major roads are going to see this upgrade before the Ghana at 70 celebrations next year March. Agbodza is not joking!
None, No one shouting and making noise has so far been able to convince any sensible Ghanaian that the Foreign Minister has committed any crime in the humanitarian evacuation of Ghanains from South Africa. Ignore the noisy gang whose presentations are at best passing for entertainment of Clowns in a bazaar ! Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is going NO WHERE! He remains our most diligent, effective, efficient and impactful Foreign Minister since 1992!
Labadi Beach has taken on a new look following the demolition of structures at the popular Accra beachfront, sparking conversations about the changes and what the area looks like now.

The Minority in Parliament is accusing the Minister for Foreign Affairs of including ghost names and duplicate entries on the signed attendance sheets of evacuees from South Africa.
Today at 1 p.m., I attended a press conference held by the Majority Caucus, where they presented receipts, documents, and files relating to the South African evacuation exercise.
Here is a thread featuring pictures I took during the presentation.
The Majority presented:
The total number of people evacuated.
A list of all 1,964 evacuees from South Africa.
The amount spent per person.
Arrival dates.
Sign-in sheets for the evacuees.
Receipts from the airlines.
Signed sheets relating to minors.
And more
They also stated that they would make the names public to allow everyone to cross-check the information.
RT and follow this thread for the full details.
President Mahama has spoken about the new legislative instrument that makes it an offence to preach in a moving vehicle.
He explained that the government is not against Christians preaching at lorry stations or inside buses, but warned that preaching or selling in a moving bus can be dangerous because it may distract the driver.

The Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Operations at the Presidency, Hon. Stan Xoese Dogbe, has clarified that today’s demolition of structures at the Labadi Beach area was not part of the government’s post-flood mitigation exercise.
He said the exercise was carried out under the supervision of National Security following a request from the Labadi Beach Hotel, who own the beachfront.
According to him, management of the hotel indicated that the operations of this beach establishments adversely affect the safety, tranquillity and reputation of the Hotel, thereby diminishing their visitors’ experience.

“I’m fully in support of what my President puts forward.”
— Former President Agyekum Kufuor has thrown his support behind President Mahama’s agenda for reparations for African countries, saying he believes it is a good initiative and that countries responsible for past injustices should acknowledge the harm caused and provide compensation.
