@gaswomancometh Oh Rosie I am sad to read this but am sure that it is the right decision for you now. All my interactions with you in and out of work affirm that you are a wonderful human being and doctor. Go and be happy but hope you come back! Xx
I’m an oncologist and I love my job. But I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing our patients with cancer and I’m striking because I know first-hand that the NHS is failing its workforce. https://t.co/Liv26cn8Or #ConsultantsStrike
@gaswomancometh I suspect your mum would have agreed with whatever you chose and wouldn’t want it to feel impossible. Try to enjoy it and look after yourself xx
@gaswomancometh Hi Rosie, sorry to read this. I never met your mum but the photos and your words tell of an incredible person. Passing during a nap sounds ideal although harder if you didn’t say bye. Sending hugs xx
To all palliative care peeps. Looking to refurb 1 shower wet room and 1 bathroom to a nice, therapeutic place to freshen up but within an NHS building. Has anyone in the NHS hospice sector got any nice ideas that have been taken on? TIA
@ForestHolme@UHD_NHS@tomglanfield@LHiGroup_ It was a fantastic event to be part of and to meet people in our community with a shared passion, networking to make things even better 😘
@CarolUHS Carol we had exactly the same experience with phenobarbital and myoclonus in hypoxic brain injury on ICU yesterday. Would be really interested in discussing how we did it. I will be in touch outside of Twitter!
Advanced notice to keep your eyes peeled 👀👀. Fantastic band 6 physio opportunity in specialist palliative care coming soon to join our Macmillan Therapy team based in beautiful Christchurch Dorset. #whatmatters#palliativecare#physiotherapy
@PrueLeith just watched you on Sunday with @bbclaurak. How can you talk about assisted dying in a sensitive, balanced and compassionate manner without once mentioning palliative care?
People want to know more about what happens as we die.
My TEDx talk for @TEDxNewcastle went live yesterday. It's already been viewed 44,000 times.
Please help it get out into the world: pass it on in any way you can.

@mancunianmedic Well written and all true. I graduated in 1998 and have never experienced rota gaps like now - multi professional and at all levels of seniority.
I have spent the last half an hour of this new year taking selfies with my cat. Happy New Year All. My hope for 2023 is to find it easier to care for people within our brilliant NHS @NHSMillion@UHD_NHS
My job is only worthwhile because of my fantastic nursing colleagues. A tweet is not enough to describe the depth of your role. I hope you feel valued. Thank you X
