Key takeaway: The quality of AI-generated code varies WILDLY but fast improving and really fantastic. For this task, Google AI Studio was the clear champion.

I spent my weekend building a flashcard app using 3 different AI tools to see which was best.

The contenders: Google AI Studio, Replit, and Emergent.

The results were surprisingly different. Here’s the breakdown 👇

🥈 Emergent: Usable but buggy. Took the longest but was the only tool to nail a specific API requirement.

🥉 Replit: The code was unusable. Didn't seem to handle the detailed prompt well.
