@BradShreffler My 1st yr of teaching, I had a fam emergency. My principal encouraged me to share what was on my heart in an age appropriate way and then model how to pivot back into my work. I know some will disagree, but it healed me in many ways and showed my kids what grit looks like.
Even though I have a long weekend, my mind is still on school. Self-care is crucial. We need time as educators to take care of ourselves so that we can care in the best way for our students. #newteacherjourney
