🚨🇹🇭🇰🇭 BREAKING: THAILAND AND CAMBODIA OFFICIALLY SIGN CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT

It's official.

After three weeks of deadly fighting that killed at least 86 people and displaced over 650,000 civilians, both nations have signed a joint statement at the border.

The ceasefire took effect at 12:00 noon local time today, December 27, 2025.

Key terms of the agreement:

Both sides must cease fire "involving all types of weapons, including attacks on civilians, civilian objects and infrastructures, and military objectives of either side, in all cases and all areas."

No troop movements or patrols toward the other side's positions.

No reinforcements along the entire 508-mile border.

No provocative actions including entering the other side's airspace or territory.

Both sides agreed to "refrain from disseminating false information or fake news" to de-escalate tensions.

The 18 Cambodian soldiers captured during the conflict will be returned after the ceasefire holds for 72 hours.

ASEAN Observer Team will verify compliance.

The document was signed at 10:45 AM by Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister General Tea Seiha and Thailand's Defense Minister General Nattaphon Narkphanit.

Whether this peace holds where previous agreements failed remains the question.
