While trying to build my X account for years and failed woefully, I decided to come back few months ago and study what was needed to be done "Consistently.
Below is my 10 step framework I'm currently following
1. Understand that X doesn't pay for followers. It rewards attention. Your goal is to make people:

The longer people interact with your content, the more reach X gives you.
2. Followers don't matter as much as impressions
Someone with 5,000 followers can outperform someone with 500,000 followers.
Why? Because their audience actually engages. A small active audience is more valuable than a large silent one.
3. Consistency beats perfection
One viral tweet won't build your account. Posting quality content every day for months will. The people who seem "lucky" have usually been posting consistently for a long time.
4. Create content people can't ignore
Ask yourself before posting: "Why would someone stop scrolling for this?" Good content usually:
Teaches
Entertains
Inspires
Sparks debate
Solves a problem
Shares a unique perspective
If it does none of these, it probably won't perform well.
5. Engagement is a two-way street
Don't just post and disappear. Reply to people. Join conversations. Quote posts with valuable opinions. Comment under bigger creators. Many accounts grow faster from comments than from their own tweets.
6. The first hour matters
The more engagement your post gets shortly after publishing, the more likely X is to push it further. That's why building an active community is important.
7. Long-form content performs surprisingly well
Threads and detailed posts often outperform one-line tweets because they keep readers on the platform longer.
Teach something. E.g this thread you are reading now. Tell stories. Break ideas into simple steps.
8. What you should avoid
❌ Buying followers
❌ Engagement groups
❌ Spam replies
❌ Copying viral tweets word-for-word
❌ Posting without adding value
These may inflate numbers temporarily, but they rarely build a loyal audience.
9. The biggest mistake people make
They quit too early. Most creators stop posting after a few weeks because they don't go viral. Growth on X is usually gradual, then suddenly accelerates. Stay consistent.
10. My final advice
Don't chase viral posts. Build a recognizable brand. When people see your username, they should already know what kind of value to expect. That's how you build an audience that lasts.
If this thread helped you, Like, Repost, and Bookmark it so you can always come back to it—and others can benefit too. 🚀

People were making as much as N30m a month posting porn content for Only Fans creators, just 3 years ago here.
Very quiet gig that made people serious millionaires.
Something similar happened to a friend of mine in the US.
His US girlfriend came visiting and helped him with all the chores and cooking.
While she was about leaving, he removed $100 to give his girlfriend.
Guess what happened?
She broke up with him with reasons being that he's doesn't love her and he's trying to use her as a slot.
My guy don beg and apologize tire.
That's how his relationship ended
I remember in UK, my friend introduced this 9ja babe to a white guy. The guy called one day confused because he asked her out on a date and she asked him to pay for her uber.
Two of us burst laugh in embarrassment.
