@postcarbonsteve Would be interesting to see it with oil and gas on the bottom which would show renewables is only replacing coal really, and oil and gas stay pretty static. Also we are still increasing our energy use.

@DanielPriestley The question is why did they sell them. Some at least were in public ownership then privatised by the relevant government of the time, then were losing money as were expensive, inefficient and unprepared for private sector, so had to find a buyer to survive.
