Despite his hard start in life, Scruff was so willing to love and trust. He demanded attention when he wanted it and just wanted to be in our company all the time. In the last 6 months he was his healthiest and happiest, even coming out of his shell with humans other than us.

We brought him home wrapped in his purple towel and laid him to rest in our garden, where he'll always be close by.
I want to say thank you to each and every one of you who have followed Scruff's journey from backyard stray to pampered house cat.

I am absolutely heartbroken to tell everyone that this morning Scruff crossed over the rainbow bridge. The blood clot cut off all blood flow to his back legs and he was just in too much pain, with little hope for recovery. Letting him go was a terrible kindness.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our little Chaussette.
Chaussette arrived at the shelter in Jan 2022 with her lover Billy Ray. Chaussette had a little secret: she was pregnant! She had her babies in the shelter. All was well until about 3 months later.

One of her nipples became infected. The vet removed it, but found an adenocarcinoma. This type of cancer is one of the worst, it seems to always comes back and in different places. We knew her time was limited, the vet gave her 3-4 months in the summer of 2022.

Chausette was a sweet little cat, a little shy, but would willingly let herself pet if we approached slowly. She had progressed nicely in the last few weeks. We will miss you very much beautiful little panther. Rest in peace 💖🌈

@Kerrikor_Y @MtlARN I totally agree! Boogie's story really touched my heart. It takes a lot of courage to open your heart to a senior cat, but the love you find there is very rewarding! He deserves to live out the rest of life in comfort, and grace.

Deku is an absolutely stunning 2.5 y.o adoptable boy who was abandoned by his family due to time commitments.
He’s a real king of the house type guy, very attention seeking and full of personality!
Deku is a bit of a glutton and likes to play, and could live well with children.

Carlos has been with us since February 2021. While he’s making socialization progress, it’s slow. And that’s ok! We go at their pace around here 🐱

She didn’t really understand litter boxes for a while. But she always understood that we were trying to take care of her and always cooperated with treatments, even when she was receiving dozens per day.
