Marek comes out of San Diego, a city that’s bigger than beaches and sunshine. This is a place built on military roots, surf culture, and year-round competition. Friday nights got football, weekends got mountains, coastline, and people always moving. One day you’re at the ocean, next day you’re climbing trails.

And honestly… that kinda fits his story.

Because this isn’t just another defensive lineman bio.

At Horizon High School under HC Andy Litten, he recorded 23 tackles as a senior, then took the JUCO route at San Diego Mesa College.

Year one was laying the foundation.

2024 (Freshman – SD Mesa)
12 tackles
10 solo tackles
2.5 TFL
0.5 sack
2 PBUs
1 fumble recovery

Then the beat dropped.

2025 (Sophomore – SD Mesa):

33 tackles
15 solo
9.5 tackles for loss (47 yards)
5 sacks (38 yards lost)
3 fumble recoveries returned for 93 yards

And that production turned into:

Third Team All-American
First Team All-Conference

Career high?

8 tackles at Mt. SAC.

For a DL, that stat line got weight to it.

But off the field might be where the story gets different.

Marek wants to become a cartographer working in national parks.

He speaks Polish.

Into mountaineering, chess, ukulele, and side quests.

Community work includes helping bag food for people in need and assisting earthquake relief efforts in San Diego.

That’s not a copy-paste football path.

That’s a dude with layers.

Now the West Coast product heads to the Valley carrying All-American JUCO production and a game built in the trenches.

And if those TFL numbers travel…

95 might make some noise down here.
