@LanceMcAlister What else do you expect from someone paying Mike Moustakas, Jeimer Candelario $64m gtd & got his way into baseball being a batboyโฆ
Totally unqualified. Has been. Will always be. Nothing about this organization has taken a step forward with him at the helm.
Everyday the Reds spend not trading for a relief pitcher(s) is a complete waste.
The Reds are not going to be sellers.
1. Their record isnโt going to be bad enough (unless Elly misses significant time) to demand to be sellers.
2. They donโt really have anyone to sell? Who you are looking at? Lowe, Suarez(?), and Stephenson? Even if you do buy relievers you can sell those guys, none of which would bring a return worth while.
They need to just put the chips in and be buyers NOW. You know you are getting Hunter Greene back in a month. You know Pagan is going to come back at some point, and you *hope* he returns to serviceable. Go keep your season afloat NOW.
You are getting career years from from Elly De La Cruz, JJ Bleday, and Chase Burns for less than 3 million dollars combined. YOU DID IT! You built (albeit very unorthodox) a solid team on a budget! Why would you let it die on the vine on the back of a broke Tony Santillan, Yunior Marte, Lyon Richardson, and Zach Maxwell? That would be mal practice.
@everythingreds1@tyler_pinter@RedsIntel@RedsInFour He has to be. You don't want his arm cooked after his third season. You have to do what's best for his career because longer it is what's best for the Reds.
@metssexual44@Clay_sno But it is. Even when he's at his offensive peak, he's a bad offensive player at a position that is the 5 or 6th most important defensive position at best. Just simply not worth the trade off.
@metssexual44@Clay_sno Still a bit of blue in the expected stuff on Savant. He's just a bad offensive player that needs to play elite defense to have any value and that offense is so bad the defense can't carry it right now. He's a negative WAR player as of today.
@metssexual44@Clay_sno Again he's not pulling balls. Balls pulled travel further on average. I didn't say he didn't hit the ball hard. I'm saying he's doing as little as anyone can with balls that are barreled up.
